WebThings

WebThings is an open source project that enables the management, monitoring and control of IoT devices. The project came to life under Mozilla, but was spun off in 2020. Since then, it has been maintained by the community.

WebThings enables the creation of a decentralized Internet of Things, or “Web of Things,” where the focus is on increased security and privacy. WebThings includes the WebThings Gateway, the WebThings Framework, and the WebThings Cloud.

With our plugin, you can integrate the sending of SMS with WebThings into your “Web of Things” and thus, for example, be informed about certain events in the course of your monitoring.

Send SMS with WebThings

With our plugin you will be sending SMS with WebThings in no time. After installing our plugin and performing a short setup, you can get started right away: For example, set a rule that says that an SMS will be sent as soon as a certain event occurs.

This way you can send alerts especially easily, but also set up other notifications to stay up to date. Make sure to try it yourself – you can create an account with us for free and try sending SMS for yourself. No strings attached: there is no contract period or minimum purchase, you only pay for what you use.

SMS dispatch

  • Implement your SMS delivery in WebThings to use notification for alerts or to always be up to date. Do you have an exciting use case of your own? We’d love for you to tell us about it.

Sender ID

  • Set a sender ID that will be displayed to the recipients of the SMS as the sender name.
